Initial 6 month contract – long term contract role
Be-IT is working with a global organisation to recruit a Desktop Support Technician to join their London-based IT team.
You'll become part of an international support function, providing hands-on technical support to local users.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
You'll provide a mix of Tech Bar and remote support, ensuring employees have the technology they need to work effectively.
What you'll be doing
- Providing 1st and 2nd line desktop support across Windows and macOS environments.
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory and end-user devices.
- Building, deploying and configuring laptops and desktops for new starters.
- Managing hardware upgrades, asset management, loan devices and equipment lifecycle.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, printer, email, connectivity and remote access issues.
- Supporting Microsoft Teams meeting rooms and conference room technology (Zoom experience also welcomed).
- Logging, prioritising and resolving support requests through the IT service desk.
- Working closely with network and infrastructure teams to escalate more complex issues.
- Delivering excellent customer service through Tech Bar and remote support.
What we're looking for
- Experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support or Service Desk role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Windows and macOS.
- Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams meeting rooms or Zoom Rooms would be highly desirable.
- Basic networking knowledge with the ability to work alongside infrastructure teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-first approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
