Summary: Hamilton Barnes is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a leading IT Infrastructure team for an initial 3-month contract. The role is fully onsite in London and involves providing comprehensive support for end-users, device management, and system upgrades in a high-performing technical environment. Candidates must have active SC Clearance and be prepared for potential travel across UK sites. The position requires hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and O365, among other technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Windows 10/11 desktop and laptop builds, refurbishment, and application installations
  • Deliver desktop/laptop support within MMD infrastructure, including resolving incidents and managing CMDB records
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and O365 issues, and assist with user support including Exchange, printers, and Intune-managed devices
  • Participate in BAU operations and support projects including device patching, antivirus deployment, and meeting room setup

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments, desktops, laptops, and tablets
  • Hands-on experience with O365, Intune, PowerShell Scripting, and antivirus/security management
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and a customer-focused approach
  • Active SC Clearance (mandatory) and willingness to travel across UK sites or work extended hours when required
