Summary: The Desktop Support Engineer role is a hands-on position focused on providing exceptional onsite IT support in a central London office. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Candidates must have experience with Windows 10/11 and various IT support tools, as well as SC clearance. This position is 100% onsite and requires a proactive approach to customer service and technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Win10/11 OS builds, device refurbishment, and Azure AD-based installations
  • Remote and onsite support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones
  • Device management through Intune, CMDB updates, patch deployment
  • Troubleshooting O365, Exchange, antivirus, and network issues
  • Meeting room setup and end-user support (Level 1)
  • Writing technical documentation and managing hardware logistics
  • Supporting infrastructure rollouts and BAU operations

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in desktop/laptop support (onsite & remote)
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10/11, O365, Exchange, and Intune
  • Proven hardware/software troubleshooting and installation skills
  • Hands-on with Powershell scripting and registry management
  • Customer-focused, with top-notch communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable with documentation, audits, and end-to-end IT support

Our client, a large global consultancy, is recruiting for a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to provide exceptional onsite IT support at a central London office. This is a technical, customer-facing role that requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
