Desktop Field EngineerNorthern IrelandTravel to sites in County Armagh, County Tyrone, County AntrimA managed service provider is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Field-based IT Support Technician with 1st/2nd Line experience to work for their end client. You will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical support to end users, ensuring seamless operation of IT equipment and software. This role requires face-to-face interactions with users, providing not only technical support but also training and guidance on the use of Windows 11 and various applications.This is a field-based role with travel required between sites. A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is required.Key Responsibilities:Technical Support: Provide 1st/2nd Line technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.Device Setup: Assist in the setup of Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal on both iPhone and Android devices.Equipment Handover: Hand over new equipment to end users in person, ensuring all devices are fully operational and configured.Software Configuration: Ensure Office applications (Outlook, OneDrive, etc.) are logged in and synced on all devices.Application Deployment: Deploy applications through the Company Portal on Windows 11 devices, ensuring proper installation and functionality.User Training: Provide end-user training on navigating and using Windows 11 (version 23H2), helping them to maximize productivity.Documentation: Distribute FAQ documentation and guide users on how to contact the IT helpdesk for further assistance.Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date equipment handover checklists and documentation.Requirements:Full driving license and access to your own vehicleProven experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT support role.Proficiency with Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal setup on mobile devices.Familiarity with Windows 11 (version 23H2) and Office 365 applications.Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support end users.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 250 per day inside IR35
