Summary: The role of Desktop Support Analyst involves providing comprehensive hardware and software support to users within a leading financial services organization located in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will manage incidents, tasks, changes, and escalations while adhering to established KPIs and SLAs. This position requires a hands-on approach to IT asset management and support for major incidents, ensuring timely service delivery. The contract is fully on-site, and IR35 determination is the responsibility of the limited company providing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hardware and software support directly to users.
  • Manage incidents, tasks, changes, problems, and escalations in accordance with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Assist users with setting up and configuring peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.
  • Support major incidents, including testing, troubleshooting, and remediation.
  • Handle IT asset management for joiners, movers, and leavers, including laptop setup and software installation.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in hardware and software support, including Windows (O365, Win 11), macOS, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform security, virus, and malware removal in collaboration with the IT Security team.
  • General networking and connectivity skills.
  • Experience in providing documentation, guides, and training sessions.
