Desktop Engineer

Summary: The Desktop Support Engineer role in North Yorkshire involves providing on-site support for a government client, focusing on the setup and migration of devices within a Refresh Clinic. Key Responsibilities:

• Set-up Refresh Clinic and move devices as instructed.
• Login to systems as required under the guidance of the contractor's engineer and site manager.
• Collect existing devices from users and handover new devices according to the migration schedule.
• Update the contractor's workflow management system accurately at all relevant steps.
• Report migration issues promptly to the contractor engineer and site manager.
• Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings.
• Package collected devices according to designation rules for disposal or refurbishment.
• Move all devices and equipment to the onsite storage location at the end of each day.

Key Skills:

• SC Clearance or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience in desktop support and device migration.
• Ability to follow instructions from engineers and site managers.
• Proficiency in updating workflow management systems.
• Strong communication skills for reporting issues.
• Attention to detail for stock checks and packaging.

Salary (Rate): £25.15
