Summary: The Desktop Consultant role requires an individual with current DV clearance to manage and administer the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment in a full-time, on-site capacity in Central London. The position involves supporting OS deployment, application management, and system health maintenance as part of the Desktop Service Technical Specialist Team. The consultant will also engage in system designs and routine tasks while collaborating with the Technical Lead. Strong technical knowledge of MECM and Windows 10 is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration and management of the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment.
- Support OS images and Desktop applications deployment.
- Assist the Technical Lead in managing system updates and maintaining system health.
- Involvement in small system designs and support for MDT environments.
- Perform routine monthly and daily tasks related to MECM.
- Develop Windows 10 Task Sequences and Images, and OS Deployment.
- Create Applications and Packages and deploy to device collections.
- Develop Compliance items and Baselines.
- Create Update Groups, Packages, and Deployments, including offline WSUS integration.
- Create PowerBI Reports and perform reporting.
- General Administration and Health Monitoring of MECM.
- Create automation of MECM Administration via PowerShell.
- Troubleshoot MECM via client and server log files.
Key Skills:
- Current DV Clearance.
- Experience with Windows 10/11.
- Proficient in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Technical knowledge of developing Windows 10 Task Sequences and Images.
- Experience in application creation and deployment.
- Knowledge of Compliance items and Baselines development.
- Ability to create Update Groups and Packages.
- Experience with PowerBI reporting.
