Summary: The Packaging Designer role involves managing the print and packaging process from brief to completion within a B2C business. The designer will collaborate with the Design Manager and Marketing team to create brand-consistent materials for both print and digital media. This temporary position has the potential to become permanent and requires a strong background in packaging design. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Design Manager and Marketing team to meet the company's design needs.
- Manage multiple design projects from concept through completion.
- Ensure all designs are consistent with brand guidelines and meet company standards.
- Comfortably switch between print and digital media projects.
- Create packaging artwork and ensure it is prepared for various printing processes, including Litho and Flexo.
- Assist in other creative tasks such as video editing and photography as needed.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a artworker/designer/packaging designer.
- Preferably have packaging experience working on consumer products – desirable.
- Must have experience of setting print artwork for different print processes using Litho & Flexo is Essential.
- Possess a strong packaging background – with a strong portfolio to showcase your skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and a completionist attitude.
- Strong presentation skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment across multiple brands.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with wider teams.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft 365 – Essential.
- Experience in creating packaging artwork is essential.
- Video editing and photography skills are desirable but not essential.
