Key Responsibilities:

  • Create design deliverables across multiple assigned projects (digital focus, occasional small print items)
  • Translate creative briefs and concepts into polished visual assets
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from our Design Director, internal stakeholders and clients
  • Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and design systems
  • Participate actively in team meetings
  • Present work clearly and articulate design decisions
  • Coordinate with other departments (marketing, sales, newsrooms, production, product)
  • Ask questions proactively and seek clarification when needed
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously following guidance from our Design Director
  • Meet deadlines and communicate proactively about capacity or blockers
  • Keep project files organized and properly named
  • Document design decisions and maintain version control
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices
  • Actively seek feedback and apply it to improve
  • Contribute ideas in brainstorms and creative discussions
  • Ensure all work is production-ready (proper file formats, specifications, etc.)
  • Proof work carefully before submission
  • Follow established workflows and design processes
  • Maintain high attention to detail

Key Skills:

  • Experience with an internship, freelance, or a full-time Junior Designer role
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design fundamentals and creative problem-solving
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Solid grasp of typography, color theory, layout, and composition

The Role We’re looking for a Designer to join our Global Production Team on a six months fixed term contract. You will report to the Design Director and work on projects across all our brands (The News Movement, Caliber Collective, SaySo, The Recount and Capsule) with an emphasis on two large commercial retainer clients. You’ll be hands-on everyday designing assets to support across our London and New York teams. Deliverables will range from pitch decks in google slides to social media assets across all brands and their channels. We’re constantly integrating and updating our workflows with appropriate Ai usage so willingness to innovate and utilise Ai is key. You’ll be required to attend meetings across different departments and input on ideation for creative concepts as well as execute on them. Motion Graphic skills are a bonus but not required. Organisation, detailed media management and use of our project management software on a daily basis are critical parts of the job.
