Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing all safeguarding practices and procedures
- Provide pastoral care and tailored support to students with individual needs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding and school improvement strategies
- Identify, monitor, and report safeguarding trends and concerns to senior leadership
- Build strong, effective relationships with external agencies, professional services, and the wider community
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of behaviour incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Support behaviour management and safeguarding practices across the school as required
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a safeguarding role within an educational setting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a SEND or specialist provision
- Strong passion for supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs
- Clear understanding of the statutory responsibilities and duties of a Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Commitment to safeguarding excellence and promoting positive outcomes for all students
