Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing all safeguarding practices and procedures

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding and school improvement strategies
  • Identify, monitor, and report safeguarding trends and concerns to senior leadership
  • Build strong, effective relationships with external agencies, professional services, and the wider community
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of behaviour incidents and safeguarding concerns
  • Support behaviour management and safeguarding practices across the school as required

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a safeguarding role within an educational setting
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a SEND or specialist provision
  • Strong passion for supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Clear understanding of the statutory responsibilities and duties of a Designated Safeguarding Lead
