Summary: The Design Programme Lead (DPL) plays a pivotal role in the Vehicle Design Programme Management team, acting as a creative enabler to drive the delivery of the Design Vision from concept to production. This position requires collaboration across multiple brands and a focus on Agile methodologies to enhance team performance and ensure timely delivery of programmes. The DPL is responsible for managing non-Creative activities, communicating programme content, and resolving risks and issues effectively. The role demands strong project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and enable the Vehicle Design team to successfully deliver the Design Vision.
- Lead and manage all non-Creative activities to drive successful delivery of programmes.
- Represent Vehicle Design at Vehicle/Group level, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Communicate programme content clearly, including changes and approved studies.
- Track, measure, and report metrics to achieve programme deliverables.
- Manage and support the resolution of risks, issues, and impediments.
- Develop and communicate credible plans against departmental priorities.
- Ensure consistency of programme timing and escalate resource issues as needed.
- Guide the team on asset requirements based on programme deliverables.
- Ensure activities are scoped, coordinated, and delivered in line with Agile methodologies.
- Share lessons learned to foster a high-performing team.
- Lead process improvement initiatives for the Vehicle Design Programme Management team.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a Design Studio environment supporting the Creative development process.
- Project Management experience, including timing, risk and issue resolution, cost, and resource systems.
- Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive and growth mindset with strong collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including JIRA Scrum Master experience.
- Ability to thrive in a creative and collaborative environment.
- Proven record of implementing process improvements.
