Design Lead (UX)

Summary: The Design Lead (UX) role is an 8-week contract position focused on leading the design, build, and testing phases for the Smart Data Repository (SDR) platform, ensuring integration with Microsoft Dynamics. The successful candidate will collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to create user-centered design solutions. This position requires a strong background in design leadership for large-scale digital platforms and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site in London each week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end design for the Smart Data Repository (SDR) platform.
• Oversee design, build, and test phases for key SDR components.
• Ensure seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics.
• Define user-centered design approaches and translate complex requirements into clear design solutions.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams through prototyping, governance, and delivery.
• Ensure the platform aligns with user needs, data governance standards, and organizational strategy.

Key Skills:

• Proven background as a Design Lead or Senior Designer on large-scale digital/data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Smart Data Repository (SDR) and Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong service design, interaction design, and prototyping skills.
• Ability to lead design direction within agile, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Design Lead - Smart Data Repository (SDR)/Dynamics

We are looking for an experienced Design Lead to join our clients team and take ownership of end-to-end design across the Smart Data Repository (SDR) platform. This role will lead the design, build and test phases for key SDR components and ensure seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics.

As Design Lead, you will work closely with product, engineering and data teams to define user-centred design approaches, translate complex requirements into clear design solutions, and guide multidisciplinary teams through prototyping, governance and delivery. You'll ensure the platform is intuitive, scalable and aligned with user needs, data governance standards and organisational strategy.

Essential Experience

• Proven background as a Design Lead or Senior Designer on large-scale digital/data platforms
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Smart Data Repository (SDR) - design, build and test
  • Microsoft Dynamics (design & configuration exposure)
• Strong service design, interaction design and prototyping skills
• Ability to lead design direction within agile, multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
