Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of engine components (castings, geartrain, valvetrain, drivetrain, in-cylinder components)
  • Support system-level design (cooling, lubrication, breather, FEAD)
  • Lead project tasks and manage deliverables
  • Perform FMEA and risk analysis
  • Create and release engineering drawings and documentation
  • Work closely with suppliers using APQP methodologies
  • Participate in design reviews and validation activities

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in design engineering
  • Advanced CAD skills (Creo preferred)
  • Strong understanding of IC engine systems and components
  • Knowledge of casting, machining, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with assembly principles and design validation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary (Rate): £47.04/hr

Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Engineer to support major new product development programmes within a globally recognised engineering environment. This role focuses on delivering robust design solutions for advanced engine systems.

Key Responsibilities:
