Summary: As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for automotive products, focusing on fluid line installations for hydraulic oil, engine coolant, and air conditioning refrigerant. The role involves collaborating with global teams and suppliers to ensure designs meet quality, velocity, and cost targets. You will utilize 3D CAD modeling techniques and engineering data management systems to create and modify designs. This position is likely to extend beyond the initial 12-month duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fluid line installations for automotive products.

As Design Engineer, you will design and develop new and innovative solutions for market leading, world class automotive products. You will work on the design and development of fluid lines installations for hydraulic oil, engine coolant and air conditioning refrigerant which are validated to meet functional and technical requirements. This will include the routing of hose and tube assemblies, selection of adapters and definition of mounting arrangements. Working across multiple projects and collaborating with global teams and suppliers to deliver new designs into series production which meet quality, velocity, and cost targets.
Requirements: Ability to create 3D CAD geometry using fluid lines modelling techniques (ideally in CREO), apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to recognised standards, and complete changes using engineering data management systems (ideally in Teamcenter). Effective utilisation of techniques and tools to analyse problems, determine root cause and develop creative solutions.
