Summary: The Design & Digital Communications Officer will collaborate with the Communications Manager to implement an effective communications strategy for the Trust. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Communications Manager with digital and design work for the Trust’s divisions.
  • Design in-house materials such as posters and leaflets for internal and external campaigns.
  • Develop creative presentations, films, infographics, and other visual information.
  • Liaise with external design and print companies when in-house design is not feasible.
  • Take photographs for Trust publications and media use.
  • Create designs and digital assets for the Trust’s website, intranet, and social media.
  • Develop design templates for use across the Trust and support teams in their application.
  • Assist in organizing events, overseeing publicity and marketing materials.
  • Write content for and update the Trust’s public website and intranet pages.
  • Produce patient information materials in collaboration with services.
  • Champion consistent use of the Trust logo and corporate brand.

Job Overview The Digital and Design Officer will work closely with the Communications Manager (Digital and Design) and the rest of the team to support the implementation of an effective internal and external Communications Strategy. The postholder will be responsible for producing resources for the Trust and its clinical services, alongside maintaining Trust channels and websites with appropriate branding and messaging. You will also be part of a team supporting one of the Trust’s divisions and contribute to the overall divisional strategy. To be successful in this role, you will have expertise in producing designs for print and digital communications, a graphic design qualification and similar proven experience, with proficiency in the full Adobe suite. Experience with film editing software such as Premier Pro or After Effects is desirable but not essential.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities To support the Communications Manager (Digital and Design /Goodall Division) with a portfolio of digital and design work for one of the Trust’s divisions. Design a range of in-house materials including posters, leaflets and to support internal and external campaigns by creatively introducing new ways to communicate messages to our audiences. To develop creative presentations, films, infographics, digital and other visual forms of information for use by the communications team When in-house design is not possible due to capacity or resource issues, liaise with an approved list of external design and print companies to ensure that Trust publications or patient information produced by external suppliers adhere to NHS identity guidelines and the Trust corporate design style. To take photographs for official purposes, namely used in Trust publications and the media. To develop designs and digital assets for online use such as the Trust’s external website, intranet site, social media and any specialise microsites or standalone websites, ensuring brand consistency throughout. To create design templates where appropriate for use across the Trust, and provide support for teams to use these. To assist in the organisation of events at different sites across the Trust, such as official openings or ministerial visits, including overseeing publicity, marketing material, and photography. To support with writing content for, and regularly updating, the Trust’s public website including the creation of micro-sites and intranet pages to showcase specific services as required. To produce patient information, working closely with services to ensure appropriate messages and images are used. To champion consistent use of the Trust logo and corporate brand to ensure the integrity of the brand is maintained, advising and monitoring use of the CNWL brand as appropriate.
