Derivatives Lawyer

Job Title: Legal Counsel - Derivatives

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Start Date: June/July 2025

Duration: 6 months (Full-Time Contract)

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel - Derivatives with a strong background in Debt Capital Markets , specifically focusing on structured products and derivatives . This is a 6-month full-time contract based in London , with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office). The role is ideally suited to candidates with recent Private Practice (PP) experience .

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the establishment and ongoing maintenance of both on and off-balance sheet structured product programmes .
• Advise on securitised and OTC derivative transactions , ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Work on hedging arrangements within the context of complex structured finance transactions.
• Assist with structured repos and securities lending arrangements .
• Contribute to the structuring and execution of repackaging transactions .
• Provide regulatory guidance related to the above areas.

Must-Have Experience:

• Solid background in Debt Capital Markets , particularly in structured products and derivatives (note: this role does not involve ISDA documentation ).
• Recent Private Practice (PP) experience is essential.
• Deep understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects related to structured finance and capital markets products.
