Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts;
  • Forecasting and provisional/final outturn preparation;
  • Providing financial management, governance and accounting standards development awareness for the group;
  • Financial guidance to energy team leaders for input and coordination of group monitoring round requests;
  • Transactional financial management, control, governance and appraisal as required;
  • Ad hoc provision of financial analysis in relation to queries and to the development of new energy schemes, in particular relating to NI's Energy Strategy and Climate Change Act;
  • Maintaining and developing Energy Finance & Analytics financial and statistical models, including financial systems support and risk methodologies;
  • Operational oversight support for current energy schemes;
  • Maximising resource and capital allocations for the Group by ensuring that they are accounted for in the most effective way and VFM achieved; complying with all accounting standards;
  • Representing Energy Finance and Analytics at various projects and Boards;
  • Leading a team of professional staff to deliver exceptional performance and continued improvement of the service to the Group.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent);
  • Experience in management accounting and financial analytics;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills;
  • Knowledge of financial governance and accounting standards;
  • Ability to provide financial guidance and support;
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and statistical analysis;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
