Deputy Head of Production Support & TrafficITV Studios, Daytime12 Month Fixed Term ContractStudio/Office Based, LondonHiring range: 55,000 - 65,000For more information please email daytimetalent@itv.comYour work matters to millions.An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Head of ITV Daytime Production Support and Traffic and to ensure defined media workflows are maintained and carried out across the defined roster dynamic.As part of the newly created Production Support & Traffic team (PS&T), you will be key to the technology strategy of ITV Daytime, providing support to LIVE productions while also ensuring media ingest and media management workflows, from capture through to final delivery, and archive, across all production output is carried out. You will have a focus for quality assurances, whilst also ensuring that the best working practices are adhered to, in line with ITV policies, across all production going through the ITV Daytime production unit. This role will join supporting the Head of PS&T along with 5 Technology Specialists & 2 Lead Technology Specialists in supporting and maintaining our key production workflows. Flexibility to work a 24/6 shift pattern is needed.Role ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with The Head of Production Support & Traffic to drive forward the PS&T Team to ensure core business operational workflows are serviced and supported. Assist with leading the PS&T team to ensure core business objectives are met.Provide guidance around resource rostering.Ensure key workflows remain documented and recorded.Assist with leading Network & Domain Administration including managing Group Policy objects and Organisational units.Assist with leading Administration and consulting of IP based Media workflow engines.Assist with leading Administration and workflow of Avid Production Asset Management Systems, including media ingest & media management.Assist with leading support interactions of Hyperconverged infrastructure, such as VMWare or comparable platforms.Assist with leading support interactions of IP based firewall routing and their application in a WAN environment.Assist with leading technical training and development of the Technology Specialists to ensure knowledge transfers are kept up to date and that this team maintains industry level awareness and skills.Skills you ll need (minimum criteria)...You will have strong operational knowledge of PAM systems and media lifecycles and will be competent to a high level in working with HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management) systems.Prior experience in technical team leadershipYou will be a strong communicator with a proven ability to support leading and driving Technical solutions and interactions with peers when required.You will need to be familiar with Post Production workflows and standard operating procedures.You will have strong skills around documentation of Technical procedures and maintaining live technical documentsYou will have a strong background in Media Ingest and file wrangling.You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Broadcast media workflows, from the point of ingest, edit, transmission, media management and storage, as well as LIVE Broadcast experience.You will need an understanding and exposure to Post Production workflows and standard operating procedures.Other things we re looking for (key criteria)...You will be able to demonstrate an ability to support in the leadership of the PS&T team You will have knowledge of IT and Network based skills and will need to demonstrate leadership in this area.You will have some knowledge of managing and creating a team roster effectively An awareness of file based workflows and asset management and life cycle rules pertaining to media workflowsYou will need to have experience of documenting and collating detailed Technical workflows for the auditing of business requirements ensuring the team is aware of key technical workflows.You will have some experience in supporting Production Asset Management systems and understand the wider IP based ecosystems and be able to lead development and administration of these workflows as the business demands.You will have experience working with Vendor Support teams, supporting their interactions with the business to ensure disruption to key services are kept to a minimum.Ability to lead, train and inspire as a leader.
