Key Responsibilities:
- Own all product and programme delivery within a Value Stream, planning capacity and resourcing allocations, supporting teams and individuals to deliver, and working to swiftly remove blockers.
- Ensures alignment with the overarching Value Stream strategy, driving strategic priorities and delivery of value.
- Maintaining a healthy, supportive, and stimulating working environment across the Value Stream and the Digital Delivery team as a whole, building a culture that enables efficient and effective delivery through empowered teams in line with the clients agile principles.
- To build and maintain effective working partnerships at all levels with both stakeholders who have strategic responsibility for their Value Stream, and those with operational responsibility for product-level ownership.
- Overseeing commercial relationships with third party partners operating within the Value Stream, ensuring good practice adherence to supplier management and performance monitoring.
- Manage high level dependencies across the Value Streams and across associated delivery.
Key Skills:
- A successful track record working within the public sector.
- Agile SAFE-coaching experience.
- Experience operating at a Deputy Director, Head of Product level.
- Experience of leading a large, diverse, Matrix-managed team, empowering and motivating people through inclusive, considered decision-making.
- Ability to set objectives and make decisions at the appropriate time, considering the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints, and the availability of necessary information.
- Excellent understanding of agile methodologies and experience in their use.
- Very good understanding and experience of public sector procurement and management of third-party supplier relationships.

As the Head of Value Stream Portfolio, you will play a critical leadership role overseeing the planning, management, and continuous improvement of Value Stream delivery.
Working within the Digital Delivery leadership team, reporting to Director of Digital Delivery and playing a significant role in leading and promoting greater delivery capability across the entire Digital Service.
Key Experience:
Experience of leading a large, diverse, Matrix-managed team, empowering and motivating people through inclusive, considered decision-making.
Ability to set objectives and make decisions at the appropriate time, considering the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints, and the availability of necessary information, while understanding the needs of the internal or external customer and keeping them in mind when taking actions or making decisions.
