Summary: The role of Deployment Engineer involves assisting a public sector organization with the deployment of Windows 11 and providing support for IT equipment operations. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, software installation, and liaising with service users to understand their IT support needs. Additionally, the position requires teamwork and effective management of work requests to ensure smooth service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the deployment of Windows 11.
- Provide support and advice to staff regarding IT equipment.
- Assist in the procurement of IT resources.
- Manage day-to-day operations of IT equipment owned by the authority.
- Triage and report issues through the service desk.
- Provide second line support for service desk resolver groups.
- Carry out software installations and upgrades.
- Liaise with service users to ascertain IT support requirements.
- Provide advice to service users.
Key Skills:
- Effective teamwork skills.
- Experience in providing IT support and advice.
- Ability to monitor and manage work requests.
- Operational support experience for IT equipment.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing IT hardware.
