Summary: The Demand Planner - Portfolio role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage product lifecycle processes, including forecasting for new product launches and existing product development. Key Responsibilities:
- Update and monitor product performance and ranking; liaise with global NPD and commercial teams on SKU/product rationale.
- Coordinate end-to-end lifecycle of products, recommending and communicating phasing in/out timings based on forecasts and inventory.
- Manage data relating to global product/gifting and SKU portfolio.
- Collaborate with demand planning and inventory & supply teams to address demand/supply challenges.
- Manage communication of EPD/SKU changes ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
- Provide reporting on change management and portfolio metrics, including stock turns per SKU.
- Facilitate monthly product review meetings and ensure relevant topics are discussed.
- Support implementation of new systems and technology.
Key Skills:
- Good level/standard of UK/European education or equivalent.
- Educated to degree level or similar work experience.

Description
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on forecasting aspect of New Product Launches, Existing Product Development and Product Discontinuations, driving process control and ensuring timely and clear communication to relevant stakeholders. Facilitate the monthly Product Review step of S&OP and ensure inputs and outputs are fed through the S&OP process, with clear actions and timely follow-up and decision-making. The role will work with a variety of stakeholders across the organization, driving Demand Planning Portfolio control and visibility, with a focus on Product Change Management (process & communication).
What Will You Do?
- Product Lifecyle Management
- Update and monitor Product Performance & Ranking; Liaise with Global NPD and Commercial Teams on SKU/Product rationale.
- Co-ordinate end-to-end life cycle of products – recommend and communicate phasing in/out timings based on latest forecasts and inventory.
- Manage data relating to Global Product/Gifting and SKU Portfolio.
- Work with Demand Planning and Inventory & Supply Team to identify and address demand/supply challenges.
- Collaborate with NPD Product Managers on critical path timelines for Existing Product Development (EPD) change management projects (such as sku changes/reformulation/pack changes), ensuring smooth transitions with minimal supply impact.
- Manage communication of EPD/SKU Changes ensuring all Regions receive timely and accurate information.
- Reporting: Provide reporting on change management and portfolio metrics, including stock turns per SKU, SKU categorization, and supply chain challenges.

- Document and continuously improve product lifecycle and change management processes
- Product Review Meeting
- Facilitate the monthly Product Review meeting, ensuring relevant topics are being discussed to drive business effectiveness.
- Plan rolling Product Review calendar to feed into rolling Global S&OP calendar, ensuring the right topics are discussed.
- Circulate Pre-reads in a timely manner to enable meeting effectiveness and decision making.
- Liaise with meeting attendees to ensure timely follow up of actions and escalate blockers if necessary.
- Engage stakeholders across NPD, Commercial, Supply, and Regulatory to ensure key inputs are aligned for decision-making.
