Demand & Inventory planner

Demand & Inventory Senior Planner (temporary)

We are looking for an EMEA Demand & Inventory Senior Planner to join a leading international fashion and retail organization on a 6 month contract for 40 hours a week (location Amsterdam).

You will play a key role in seasonal buy planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, and business performance reporting across the EMEA region. Working closely with Merchandising, Buying, Wholesale, Finance, and DTC teams, you will help ensure inventory and demand plans support sales, margin, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive demand forecasting and seasonal planning across product categories.
• Support long term sales, margin, and inventory planning.
• Partner with Buying, Merchandising, and Wholesale teams to align demand forecasts with product strategies.
• Contribute to Integrated Demand Planning (IDP) processes and growth initiatives.
• Provide demand insights to support range planning and assortment decisions.
• Support buy quantification and inventory planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, systems, and reporting.
• Coach and support junior team members where required.

Requirements

• 4 to 7+ years of experience in demand planning, wholesale planning, or merchandise planning.
• Previous experience within fashion, retail, or consumer goods.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, and merchandise financials.
• Highly analytical with a data driven approach to decision making.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance short term business needs and long term strategy.
• Fluent in English.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Retail, or a related field preferred.
