Delivery Manager/Programme Test Manager (Testing/SC Cleared), £625 per day inside IR35
6 months initially, Corsham & Remote Working
Bench IT require an experienced Delivery Manager/Programme Test Manager to join a Programme starting ASAP, this will be working hybrid 1 day per week in Corsham with the remaining time working remotely. The successful resource will be accountable for the effective planning, coordination, governance and reporting of the Representative Test Environment Test Services' (RTE-TS) and Test Centre of Excellence' (TCoE) deliveries. Working across the Business Modernisation for Support (BMfS) programme and its delivery partners, the role ensures that plans are realistic, baselined and aligned to the BMfS Foundational Services roadmap, RTE delivery plan and in service applications plans. The role will focus on ongoing planning dependency and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience of delivery management within complex, multi-supplier Testing programmes.
- Strong capability in integrated planning, scheduling, dependency management and delivery forecasting.
- strong understanding of the quality assurance and testing life cycle.
- Practical experience of Agile delivery methods and coordinating work across multiple teams and roadmaps.
- Work with the RTE-TS and TCoE Test Managers to produce, baseline, maintain and report against integrated delivery plans and schedules for RTE-TS and TCoE.
- Provide clear input to overarching governance processes, lead weekly delivery checkpoints and own relevant sections of monthly programme updates.
- Work with the RTE-TS and TCoE Test Managers to ensure the RTE-TS delivery plan remains aligned to key milestones in the Foundational Services Delivery Partner (FSDP) roadmap and BMfS project roadmaps.
- Lead regular alignment sessions so that RTE-TS is scaled, configured and operated in step with the delivery of the underpinning RTE.
- Proactively manage dependencies across supplier programme delivery plans using Agile delivery practices.
- Plan around supplier delivery release windows, ensuring that RTE-TS and the underpinning RTE environments are available and appropriately configured to enable integration testing activities.
- Work in Tandem with the Foundational Services Project Manager to maintain a joint delivery plan aligned to the overarching roadmap and MVP, IOC and FOC milestones.
- Identify, manage and report risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and opportunities (RAIDO) in line with agreed governance.
- Provide timely, accurate progress updates and escalate delivery risks or decisions requiring programme intervention.
- RTE-TS and TCoE delivery plans are realistic, baselined, actively maintained and supported by appropriate governance.
- Previous experience with delivering GDS projects is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively with project managers, technical teams, suppliers and programme leadership.
