Summary: As a Delivery Manager on a 12-month contract, you will oversee delivery across complex platform and product service teams, ensuring consistent value delivery and technical sustainability. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to support the delivery of a backlog of work associated with complex products. You will be responsible for coaching teams, managing dependencies, and facilitating continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee delivery on complex platform/product service teams, ensuring regular and sustainable value delivery.
- Build and maintain motivated, high-performing teams with product and engineering peers, fostering an environment of iterative planning and continuous improvement.
- Coach teams and those who influence them, applying agile and lean tools and techniques to facilitate learning and growth.
- Proactively manage dependencies, risks, issues, and obstacles, ensuring the best value is achieved within constraints.
- Protect teams, enabling effective collaboration, communication, and focus on priorities.
- Facilitate the capture and analysis of delivery metrics, providing insights to teams and stakeholders to demonstrate progress and drive improvement.
- Work closely with Product Managers to align teams with user needs and the problem space, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate with engineering and product counterparts, sharing responsibility for managing and developing team members and supporting their career progression.
- Engage with the delivery community, helping to define good practice and contributing to ongoing improvements in ways of working.
- Support the smooth running of teams with activities such as Quarterly Alignment and other operational rhythms.
- Produce and manage end-to-end IT delivery plans and status reports.
- Raise, monitor, and challenge commercials/costs across all delivery teams and partners; forecast and track project expenditure.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring successful business outcomes.
- Apply experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
- Support escalation management, guidance, and performance management within the IT Delivery team.
- Manage supplier relationships, focusing on quality outcomes and value for investment.
- Interpret and communicate change, making it clear for teams and stakeholders what needs to be delivered, by whom, why, and when.
