Delivery Lead

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated delivery lead to oversee the successful delivery of complex business and technology initiatives within a fast-paced enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing delivery roadmaps, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role requires a strong blend of leadership, stakeholder management, governance, and delivery expertise.

The Delivery Lead will act as the key point of coordination between business stakeholders, technology teams, third-party suppliers, and senior leadership to ensure alignment of objectives and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Develop and maintain delivery plans, roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies across complex programmes.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.
• Facilitate collaboration between business, technology, architecture, infrastructure, security, and operational teams.
• Drive effective governance and reporting processes, providing clear and accurate updates to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery teams adhere to agreed methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Monitor project performance through key metrics and KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure optimal utilisation of project teams.
• Support financial management activities, including budget tracking, forecasting, and cost control.
• Coordinate with external vendors and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery of contracted services.
• Lead project and programme steering meetings, workshops, and executive governance forums.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, governance frameworks, risk requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a Delivery Lead, Programme Delivery Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar role within a large enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of project and programme delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
• Demonstrable experience managing large-scale technology and business transformation initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior executives.
• Experience managing complex delivery dependencies across multiple teams and functions.
• Strong governance, risk management, and reporting experience.
• Experience overseeing project budgets, forecasting, financial tracking, and resource management.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.

Desirable Experience

• Financial services or banking sector experience is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering regulatory, risk, cybersecurity, data, or digital transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of technology platforms, cloud services, infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with IT service management and operational frameworks.
• Experience working within highly regulated environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Agile, Scrum Master, SAFe, PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent.
