Summary: The role of Delivery Lead (Cloud & DevOps) involves overseeing cloud-based projects within a major public-sector digital programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct delivery of cloud-based projects
- Provide technical guidance across AWS, DevOps, and engineering teams
- Build and maintain IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Support creation of cloud-native applications (JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, Docker)
- Contribute to discussions on emerging tech, including AI/ML and automation
- Collaborate with security, production, and infrastructure teams
- Influence and negotiate across teams to drive delivery
Key Skills:
- Strong AWS knowledge: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation
- Experience with serverless and containerised architectures (ECS, EKS, Fargate)
- Monitoring tools: CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana
- Coding experience in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go
- Awareness of RPA tools (UiPath, Blue Prism) and AI/ML models
