Summary: The Decommissioning Technician role at Dungeness involves performing operational tasks within a technical competence area, acting as a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) in compliance with Site Licence requirements. The technician will conduct maintenance activities, support fault investigations, and perform regulatory surveys while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. This position is full-time and on-site, with a contract length of 24 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform core operational tasks within your area of demonstrated technical competence.
- Act as a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) on plant items in accordance with Site Licence requirements.
- Conduct operational and maintenance activities, supporting fault investigations as required.
- Perform Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) and Radioactive Substances Act (RSA) surveys, adhering to approved procedures.
- Provide technical support to ongoing and future project designs and implementations.
- Ensure all work is compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Skills:
- Mechanical and/or Electrical background.
