Summary: The Deal Desk Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the global sales teams at AspenTech by managing deal processes and ensuring smooth operations from quote to contract. This position is based in Reading and involves collaboration with various departments to facilitate sales objectives. The analyst is responsible for generating quotes, managing order processes, and maintaining documentation while fostering strong relationships with peers and business partners. A fast-paced, detail-oriented approach is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate both standard and non-standard quotes to support sales efforts including software, maintenance renewals, and services-related orders.
- Provide support and assistance to the Sales team as needed to support the quote to contract process.
- Collaborate with Sales, Licensing, and Accounting to enter customer orders.
- Administer the Authorization and Approvals policy (A&A policy) coordinating the approval process by obtaining approvals per policy and ensuring compliance to both process and policy.
- Prepare quotes based on sales requests, review for accuracy and completeness, and obtain required approvals per policy.
- Update in-house CRM systems to ensure up-to-date information is readily available.
- Provide general data to Finance to close orders and process them for invoicing.
- Support the Global Sales Admin Team as required.
- Support license administration by preparing required documentation and ensuring customer requirements from quotes and contracts are accurately reflected in the license configuration details.
- Ensure all documentation is secured in the appropriate system(s) and demonstrate familiarity with current sales forecasts.

Job Description Summary The sales support provided to the global sales teams is vitally important to the smooth running of the AspenTech business. The Deal Desk Analyst is a Sales Operations function that provides best-in-class deal management support to sales, with primary responsibility to support the local regional sales team. The Deal Desk Analyst can be viewed as an extension of the sales teams helping them to achieve their sales objectives each quarter. This position is based out of the Reading regional office. The Deal Desk Analyst is part of a Global Deal Management team, responsible for providing support during the quote to contract process. Developing strong relationships with peers and business partners is critical. An ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment is a priority.
