Summary: The DBA Oracle Support Engineer role requires an individual with active SC Clearance to provide database support for Oracle and SQL Server databases within the CNI Infrastructure estate. The position is a 6-month contract that necessitates on-site work in Wokingham for two days a week and is classified as inside IR35. The candidate must possess a range of technical skills and experience in IT service roles, particularly in database administration and support for critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide database support for Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Administer Oracle 12-19C databases, including RAC and ASM.
- Utilize Oracle RMAN and GoldenGate for database management.
- Perform basic UNIX administration and KSH shell scripting.
- Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for database monitoring and management.
- Engage in ITIL processes related to Change/Release Management.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats, including technical documentation.
- Participate in a 2nd line Out Of Hours support rota as needed.
Key Skills:
- Oracle 12-19C Database Administration.
