Summary: The role is for a DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) based in London, requiring expertise in database migration, replication, and performance tuning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate databases from AIX to Linux using various methods.
  • Manage Q Replication and HADR setups with multiple standby systems.
  • Capture and replay workloads for testing and right-sizing DB2 VMs.
  • Tune performance using DBM/database configuration and registry variables.
  • Utilize data movement utilities such as db2move, Export, Import, and Load.
  • Work with and automate complex Shell scripts.
  • Perform DB2 restore and redirected restore operations in both DPF and non-DPF setups.
  • Understand DB2 DPF systems.
