Summary: The role is for a DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) based in London, requiring expertise in database migration, replication, and performance tuning. The position involves working on-site three days a week and is classified as inside IR35. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in DB2 database management and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate databases from AIX to Linux using various methods.
- Manage Q Replication and HADR setups with multiple standby systems.
- Capture and replay workloads for testing and right-sizing DB2 VMs.
- Tune performance using DBM/database configuration and registry variables.
- Utilize data movement utilities such as db2move, Export, Import, and Load.
- Work with and automate complex Shell scripts.
- Perform DB2 restore and redirected restore operations in both DPF and non-DPF setups.
- Understand DB2 DPF systems.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in DB2 database migration.
- Knowledge of Q Replication.
