Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate databases from AIX to LINUX using various methods.
- Manage and set up HADR with multiple standbys.
- Capture real workloads from source databases and replay them in target databases for testing.
- Optimize DB2 process and memory architecture.
- Perform performance tuning using DBM, database configuration parameters, and registry variables.
- Utilize data movement utilities like db2move, Export, Import, and Load.
- Work with DB2 Federation.
- Understand and automate complex shell scripts.
- Perform DB2 restores and redirected restores in non-DPF and DPF setups.
- Manage DB2 DPF systems effectively.

JD: Good experience or knowledge in migrating Databases from AIX to LINUX using different methods. Good knowledge on Q replication. Expertise in setting up and managing HADR with multiple standbys. Capturing real workloads from the Source database and replaying in the Target database for testing the workloads to right-size the DB2 VMs. Excellent knowledge on DB2 Process and Memory Architecture. Expertise on performance tuning of the Databases using different DBM, Database configuration parameters and registry variables. Good experience in data movement utilities like db2move,Export,Import and Load. Good experience on DB2 Federation. Good experience in understanding complex Shell scripts and automating the routine tasks. Good experience in performing DB2 Restores and Redirected restores in non-DPF and DPF setups.
