DB2 Consultant

Summary: The DB2 Consultant role involves managing, optimizing, and securing the IBM DB2 environment for a client in the banking sector. This position is a contract for an initial three months, with the possibility of extension, requiring on-site work in Antwerp. Candidates must have fluency in English or Dutch, with both languages being advantageous. The role demands a strong background in IT infrastructure, particularly with IBM DB2.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, optimize, and secure the IBM DB2 environment.
• Participate in the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of databases for Core Banking applications.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and robust backup and recovery strategies.

Key Skills:

• At least 3 years' experience in an IT infrastructure role, ideally including 2 years with IBM DB2.
• Thorough knowledge of SQL, database design, performance optimization, and security.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX environments.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (HADR is a strong plus).
