Summary: The Database Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the operation of CRM and ERP systems within a leading commercial interiors company. This role requires a blend of technical database management and business systems ownership to ensure the effective functioning and enhancement of critical business platforms. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and client-facing skills to support operational efficiencies and align system functionality with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimisation of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and CRM/ERP platforms to ensure their performance, scalability, and security.
- Manage upgrades, configurations, and troubleshooting of CRM and ERP systems, ensuring they are aligned with business requirements.
- Work closely with business units to understand their needs, translate those into system enhancements, and implement solutions that improve operational workflows.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all platforms, and generate key business reports to guide decision-making.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies, proposing and executing system-driven solutions that enhance overall business performance.
- Ensure the CRM/ERP systems comply with data protection regulations and implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive business data.
- Provide support and training to users across the organisation, enabling them to effectively utilise the CRM/ERP systems.
- Lead efforts to develop, test, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans for all systems and data.
- Coordinate with external vendors to ensure system integrations are completed successfully and on time.
Key Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong experience in database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and CRM/ERP systems.
- Proven ability to balance technical database management skills with business systems ownership.
- Experience collaborating across departments to identify system needs and implement effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance practices.
