Summary: An experienced Data Warehouse Manager is sought for a public sector client in Bradford, requiring a combination of leadership, technical data expertise, and in-depth knowledge of NHS data. The role involves overseeing the Data Warehouse function while providing hands-on support in data architecture, engineering, and database administration. Key Responsibilities:
- Line manage and mentor Data Engineers, BI Developers, and other data team members
- Lead on data architecture, including data structures, schema design and data normalisation
- Oversee Data Warehouse strategy, build, optimisation, and performance
- Maintain and understand NHS datasets, flows, and reporting requirements
- Provide hands-on Data Engineering expertise (ETL/ELT, SQL, pipelines)
- Carry out DBA duties, including performance tuning, indexing, and database maintenance
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing Data Warehouse functions
- Strong understanding of NHS data
- Excellent data architecture, modelling and normalisation experience
- Solid Data Engineering skills (SQL, SSIS/ADF, Python, Databricks, ETL/ELT)
- Strong DBA capabilities (SQL Server/Azure SQL)
