Investigo are supporting the hire of a Technical / Solution Architect to drive a Data Warehouse Decommissioning project with key client.
- c.£700 p/day (Outside IR35)
- Hybrid - 3 days on site in Gloucestershire (travel & accommodation expenses paid)
- 6 months (with view to extend)
- November start date (ideally ASAP)
- Interviews w/c 3rd November
Role Background:
This client are supporting a number of key initiatives within a Financial Services organisation. This phase is focusing on the effective decommissioning of a number of current data warehouses and databases.
Required Experience:
- You need to be an experienced Technical/ Solution Architect with data warehouse decommissioning experience
- Able to look at, and assess, current databases (Snowflake) and understand the architecture of these databases.
- Understand which databases are a drain on capacity/ cost, etc and advise the client on what they do/ don't need
- Experienced in archiving databases to still be used/ accessed for future use
- Enable any decommissioned databases to be cost-effectively resurrected when needed
- Understand the need to drive real-time analysis over batch
- Snowflake experience would be ideal, but wider DWH decommissioning experience is ok.
Additional info:
- Financial services background is ideal, but other backgrounds considered.
- Tenacious personality in getting the job done
- Experienced in delivering to tight timescales and working under pressure
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to explain why making certain recommendations/ decisions
