Summary: The Data Warehouse Consultant role involves designing, building, and delivering a Microsoft Fabric data warehouse to facilitate data-driven decision-making through Power BI dashboards. The consultant will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the environment is configured correctly for data security and usability. This position is contract-based for three months, with the possibility of extension, and requires a start within two weeks. Data Warehouse Engineering Consultant require to design, build and deliver new Microsoft Fabric data warehouse / Synapse Data Warehouse so that dashboards in Power BI can be created to enable the business to make better data led decisions. Our client is a global market leading company. You will lead the delivery of the Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse first by liaising with stakeholders / the business to understand their data requirements. Then design, development and deliver a configured MS Fabric environment with a configured data warehouse and the right security so the team can build dashboards in line with requirements. Knowledge transfer to the existing team is key too.
ABOUT YOU
You do NOT need prior MS Fabric experience if you have significant expertise in the following:
- Liaising with the business to gather requirement for a new data warehouse
- Design, built, test and delivered data warehouses with suitable controls for large complex organisations. ( Not necessarily in Microsoft Fabric)
- Excellent communication skills
- Significant data engineering experience
- Collaborative approach to knowledge transfer
