Summary: The role of Test Engineer (Financial Services) involves joining a major Financial Services organization on a critical program for a contract period of 6–12 months. The position requires experienced professionals to design, execute, and maintain test cases while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure thorough validation of requirements. Candidates should have a strong background in regulated environments, particularly with Unisys platforms, and be adept in Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts.
- Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing.
- Identify, record, and manage defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and validated.
- Produce clear test documentation, evidence, and reporting.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to delivery planning.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Test Engineer / Software Tester.
- Strong experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Experience working with Unisys systems/platforms.
- Hands-on experience using: Jira, Confluence, Zephyr.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
- Experience working within Agile environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exposure to large-scale transformation or migration programmes (desirable).
- ISTQB certification (desirable).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (desirable).
- Knowledge of modern testing best practices and quality assurance methodologies (desirable).
