Summary: The Finance Data Quality & Migration Lead will oversee the assessment, cleansing, governance, and migration of 20 years of legacy finance data to a new ERP platform, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role requires strong expertise in finance data quality and collaboration with finance stakeholders and system implementation partners. The position is critical for ensuring data integrity and operational readiness for the finance transformation initiative. Prior experience with Business Central is not essential, but a solid background in finance ERP data is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Data Quality Lead for core finance data domains: Accounts Payable, Invoice data, Supplier master data, Customer master data, Chart of accounts and account/master data.
  • Assess and profile 20 years of legacy finance data, identifying quality and integrity issues.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and reconciliation controls.
  • Lead data cleansing, remediation, and rationalisation activities.
  • Ensure finance data is fit for operational, reporting, and compliance needs.
  • Own data readiness for ERP implementation and migration cycles.
  • Design and manage staging environments.
  • Work hands-on with SQL Server to extract, validate, and reconcile data.
  • Manage migration cycles, version control, and finance sign-off.
  • Deliver migration activities without a dedicated migration tool using pragmatic approaches.
  • Support the implementation of a new finance ERP system.
  • Partner with finance stakeholders across AP, AR, and GL.
  • Balance transformation delivery alongside BAU constraints in a lean team.
  • Act as the bridge between finance professionals and technical teams.
  • Lead data validation and sign-off sessions.
  • Communicate data risks and quality outcomes clearly.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in finance data quality, migration, or finance systems roles.
  • Hands-on experience with AP, invoice, supplier, customer, and account/master data.
  • Strong understanding of finance ERP data structures and processes.
  • Hands-on SQL Server experience.
  • Experience handling large legacy finance datasets.
  • Comfortable operating as a hands-on, independent delivery lead.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (desirable).
  • Finance transformation experience (desirable).
  • Background in lean or creative environments (desirable).

Role Overview

As part of a wider finance transformation , we are moving toward a new finance ERP platform (including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). This role will own finance data quality and readiness , ensuring that 20 years of legacy finance data is assessed, cleansed, governed, and migrated to support a successful system implementation. The role focuses on critical finance data domains including Accounts Payable, invoices, suppliers, customers, and account/master data . Operating within a lean BAU environment , this position acts as the single point of accountability for finance data quality , working closely with finance stakeholders and system implementation partners. Prior Business Central experience is not essential ; strong finance ERP data expertise is required.
