Summary: The SAP Data Specialist - Procurement & Materials Management role involves supporting data requirements during the S/4 Hana design process for a global pharmaceutical client. The specialist will ensure that data is suitable for the supply chain and collaborate with various stakeholders to align data design with business needs and SAP standards. The position requires strong expertise in Procurement and Materials Management, as well as experience in data governance and change management. The role is hybrid, requiring three days on-site in Luton and two days remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the definition of data requirements throughout the S/4 Hana design process.
- Ensure data is fit for purpose throughout the supply chain process.
- Collaborate with the wider business to align data design with business requirements and SAP standards.
- Break down complex data concepts for business data users.
- Influence stakeholders and manage relationships effectively.
- Partner with business/IT for the implementation of Data Governance solutions.
- Design and implement data standards for a global enterprise.
- Manage change from current to future state data design, including user education and change impact assessments.
- Understand SAP reporting and data integration.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Procurement and Materials Management (P&MM).
- Solid understanding of business data requirements.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in business/IT partnering for Data Governance.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data standards.
- Experience in change management and user education.
- Strong understanding of SAP reporting and data integration.
- Desirable: S/4 HANA implementation experience.

SAP Data Specialist - Procurement & Materials Management
Global pharmaceutical client now requires a P&MM data specialist to support the definition of data requirements throughout the S/4 Hana design process, ensuring data is fit for purpose throughout the supply chain process. This role will work within P&MM and collaborate with the wider business ensuring s/4 data design meets business requirements, aligns to SAP standards and can be used with confidence throughout future processes.
Key requirements:
- Strong experience and expertise in Procurement and Materials Management (P&MM)
- Solid understanding of business data requirements and the ability to break down complex data concepts to business data users.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence others and manage an array of stakeholders.
- Previous experience of business/IT partnering regarding the implementation of Data Governance related solutions.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Data standards for a global enterprise business.
- Experience in change management journey from current to future state data design including completion of deployment user education, change impact assessments and outline of critical use case examples.
- Strong understanding of SAP – Reporting and data integration.
Desirable: S/4 HANA implementation programme experience.
Rate: £650 per day Outside IR35 Duration: 6 months Location: Hybrid/Luton (3 days per week on site, 2 days remote)
