Summary: The role of Data Solutions Architect focuses on leading the migration of data to a new SAAS platform as part of a curriculum transformation program. The position requires expertise in data governance and cloud data tools, with a strong emphasis on managing complex business functions and stakeholder engagement. The contract is for six months, with a requirement to work onsite two days a week in London. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle ambiguous requirements, identify non-functional requirements (NFRs), and create designs that meet objectives.
- Understand business drivers for change, critical deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead design activities across complex business functions with multiple stakeholders.
- Discover and analyze requirements, understand context, identify and assess alternative solutions, and advise on configuration.
- Define principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to align solution decisions with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
- Direct governance activities to ensure solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data governance and data quality tools in an enterprise (e.g., Collibra, Informatica).
- Awareness of Azure and AWS cloud data toolsets, with experience in providing cloud data patterns for both.
- Strong knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks and tools.
- Previous experience with SAAS migrations.
