Summary: The Data Security Compliance Advisor role involves managing data subject requests under the UK GDPR, ensuring compliance with data protection laws, and enhancing internal processes related to data security. The position requires collaboration with various departments to optimize documentation and training while supporting the Data Protection Officer in communication efforts. This full-time role is hybrid, allowing for both remote work and office presence in East Grinstead. The position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end process of fulfilling data subject requests under the UK GDPR.
  • Enhance internal documentation and communication regarding data subject requests.
  • Collaborate on the development and integration of tools for data subject requests.
  • Conduct reviews of existing assessment processes and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments and other compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to organization-wide data protection processes and policies.
  • Develop and execute data protection training and awareness campaigns.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer in communication and guidance efforts.
  • Provide well-considered advice on data protection inquiries.
  • Represent the team in meetings and industry events.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of UK data protection law, including UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Recognized data protection qualifications (e.g., UK GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM).
  • Experience fulfilling data subject requests under UK GDPR.
  • Ability to provide guidance on data protection law to stakeholders.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to manage priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office/O365.

Salary (Rate): £47,000.00
