Summary: The Data Security Compliance Advisor role is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed-term contract, primarily focused on managing data subject requests under the UK GDPR. The advisor will enhance internal processes, ensure compliance with data protection laws, and contribute to training and awareness initiatives. The position requires collaboration with various teams to optimize data security practices and maintain effective communication regarding compliance matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end process of fulfilling data subject requests under the UK GDPR.
  • Develop internal documentation and communications regarding the data subject request process.
  • Collaborate on the integration of tools for the data subject request process.
  • Conduct reviews of existing assessment processes and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in the optimization of data protection records and assessments.
  • Contribute to organization-wide data protection processes and policies.
  • Support the development and execution of data protection training and awareness campaigns.
  • Produce guidance and advice in response to data protection inquiries.
  • Represent the team in meetings and industry events.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of UK data protection law and regulations.
  • Recognized data protection qualifications (e.g., UK GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM).
  • Experience in fulfilling data subject requests under the UK GDPR.
  • Ability to provide guidance on data protection law to stakeholders.
  • Proven experience handling confidential information.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office/O365.

Salary (Rate): £47,000.00
