Summary: The role of Data Scientist involves leveraging data to enhance automation and optimize network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for data aggregation, modeling, and analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support automation use cases and improve cybersecurity. This position requires a strong background in network automation and data analysis, with a focus on integrating various network platforms. The role is remote with an expectation of one day a week in Cheshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement solutions for data aggregation and analysis from network infrastructure platforms.
- Create and maintain data models for inventory validation and automation workflows.
- Analyze and develop insights for prioritized automation use cases.
- Collaborate with developers and network engineers to document workflows and define technical requirements.
- Use automation tools to ingest and enrich data from network sources.
- Design data visualizations and dashboards for tracking KPIs and network health metrics.
- Apply analytical techniques to identify patterns and solve complex problems in network automation.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in data science with a focus on data analysis and automation in network or IT environments.
- Experience with network-related platforms such as IPAM, ServiceNow, and Infoblox.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of automation tools like Ansible.
- Strong statistical and analytical skills.
- Experience in agile environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to develop and validate data models.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting data findings.
