We are seeking an experienced and motivated Data Scientist to join a dynamic team based in Desford. Working across multiple stakeholders and data sources, you will develop innovative reporting tools, dashboards, databases and automation solutions that improve efficiency, enhance data accuracy and support strategic decision making. Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Design, develop and maintain data-driven reporting solutions, dashboards and automation tools using Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Apps and related Microsoft technologies.
- Extract, cleanse, transform and analyse data from multiple business sources to deliver accurate insights and support data-led decision making.
- Utilise DAX, Power Query and data modelling techniques to optimise reporting performance, usability and data quality.
- Develop and maintain databases, SharePoint solutions and data structures while supporting data governance and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, deliver effective analytical solutions and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities and operational efficiency through innovative data solutions.
- Produce documentation, support end-user adoption and share knowledge across the wider team.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role with strong SQL and Power BI capability is essential.
- Experience with Python, Microsoft 365 technologies, Power Apps and enterprise reporting environments is highly desirable.
- Additional experience with R, Power Automate, SharePoint, data lakes, database design or manufacturing and engineering environments would be advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar disciplines, alongside data analytics certifications, are beneficial but not essential.
