Summary: This Contract Data Scientist role offers an opportunity to tackle advanced data challenges at a prominent environmental risk consultancy. The position is part of a growing team focused on data workflow and orchestration within an AWS environment. Candidates will leverage their expertise in Python and machine learning to contribute to innovative projects. The role requires a hybrid working arrangement, with one day a week on-site in Bath.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support data workflow and orchestration within an AWS environment.
• Collaborate with software and data engineers on data problems.
• Utilize Python programming and machine learning techniques in projects.
• Engage with both Geospatial and non-Geospatial data domains.

Key Skills:

• Good knowledge of Python programming.
• Experience in cloud computing, ideally AWS.
• Strong experience in both Geospatial and non-Geospatial domains.
• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as sci-kit learn, tensorflow, metaflow, and MLOps.
• Knowledge of Rust (preferred).
• Experience with frameworks like Metaflow and Prefect (preferred).
• Experience with geospatial libraries such as Raster, Geo-pandas, and Vector databases (preferred).
