Summary: DataBuzz is seeking a Data Scientist - AI/ML Engineer to join their Core AI Services team in London. The role involves designing and scaling cloud-native AI platform services and public APIs, collaborating with a Scrum team to build secure and reliable AI services. Candidates should have extensive experience in software engineering and cloud technologies, particularly with Microsoft Azure. Key Responsibilities:
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop secure, well-documented APIs and SDKs for developers inside and outside the organisation.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver end-to-end data pipelines, orchestration, and service APIs.
- Embed security best practices around authentication, authorization, and data privacy.
- Take part in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions to ensure excellence.
- Deploy and manage AI models and tooling for enterprise-scale adoption.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Key Skills:
- Software Engineering - 10+ years building cloud-native or platform services with Microsoft and .NET.
- Cloud & PaaS - Hands-on with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Functions, AKS, and API Management.
- APIs - Expertise in RESTful API design, versioning, testing, life cycle management, and securing APIs.
- AI & ML - Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), trade-offs in cost vs. performance, and techniques like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and tool calling.
- AI Standards - Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A).
- ML Algorithms - Strong knowledge of regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning methods.
