Summary: The Data Science Consultant - Logistics role is designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with logistics, operations, and management teams to understand business challenges and objectives.
  • Analyse supply chain processes including transport, warehousing, inventory, fulfilment, and network operations.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical use cases and project plans.
  • Identify, quantify, and prioritise improvement opportunities based on business impact.
  • Analyse and model data from sources such as WMS, TMS, ERP, telematics, and shipment data.
  • Develop forecasting, optimisation, performance analytics, and machine learning solutions.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs to measure performance and outcomes.
  • Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support pilots, proof-of-concepts, implementation, and change adoption activities.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or a similar consulting-focused role.
  • Strong logistics/supply chain experience (transport, warehousing, 3PL, retail logistics, fulfilment, or network optimisation).
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Advanced Python and/or R skills.
  • Strong SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar visualisation tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical modelling, forecasting, optimisation, and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into business-focused recommendations.
