Summary: The Data Quality Specialist (Contract) role focuses on enhancing data quality practices across critical domains such as customer, property, and finance. The position involves assessing current data quality, identifying issues, and developing remediation plans while engaging with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current data quality across critical domains.
  • Profile data to identify issues: duplicates, gaps, invalid formats, inconsistencies.
  • Define "what good looks like” in partnership with data owners and stewards.
  • Develop and deliver practical remediation plans and see them through to resolution.
  • Set up sustainable processes for triage, monitoring, and governance.
  • Communicate progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Share knowledge and help build internal data quality capabilities.

Key Skills:

  • Strong data quality and profiling expertise (customer and asset data in particular).
  • Proficient in SQL for data analysis and issue investigation.
  • Experience managing remediation activities and root cause analysis.
  • Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft data tools (Excel Power Query, Power BI).
  • Understanding of data migration, cleansing, and validation principles.
  • Experience working with Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement, Property Cloud, or F&O).
  • Desirable experience in the housing sector or with housing management systems (e.g. ActiveH).
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks and data quality tools (e.g. Microsoft Purview).
  • Understanding of asset lifecycle data and compliance use cases.
  • Experience supporting rollout of data quality KPIs/dashboards.
  • Agile delivery experience.

Salary (Rate): £66.00/hr
