The role
Provide advice on a range of data protection and privacy matters across the organisation.
Support the delivery of the organisation's privacy compliance programme and governance framework.
Review projects, initiatives and business activities from a data protection perspective.
Assist with compliance monitoring, risk management, audits and incident response.
Support the handling of data subject rights requests and other privacy-related enquiries.
Promote data protection awareness through training, guidance and stakeholder engagement.
Work collaboratively with the Legal Department and stakeholders across the business to embed a culture of privacy compliance and best practice.
About you
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent legal qualification (or significant equivalent experience in data protection/privacy law).
Must have IAPP CIPP/E qualification
Experience advising on data protection and privacy matters within private practice, in-house legal, compliance function.
Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act
An interest in working within a values-led non-profit organisation.
