Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess GDPR compliance.
  • Own and maintain the organisation's data protection policies.
  • Lead training initiatives for staff and provide data protection awareness training.
  • Manage data processing and controls.
  • Conduct and manage data protection audits.
  • Provide expert advice on data protection obligations and best practices.
  • Manage Data Protection Impact Assessments.
  • Manage due diligence processes and prepare reports.

Key Skills:

  • Vast experience of UK data protection laws and GDPR.
  • Experience in a DPO role or a senior data protection position.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to promote a compliance-focused culture.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of data protection on business operations.
  • CIPP/E or CIPM certification (desirable).
